Playing with Features on My Camera

                                                                   toy camera effect

                                                                         fish eye :)

                                                                 toy camera (beauty)

super vivid (my fav for shooting outside. Not to be used on people, makes them look sunburned)

Had my camera for 5 mos and did not know about these features!

                                                                            toy camera

Super vivid. This is the dove nesting in our Sycamore tree. She has one baby in that pathetic excuse for a nest. I can't believe it hasn't blown down! Seriously just a twig platform up there.

Super vivid. Not to be used on the red rabbit. Poppy looks VERY red!

Super vivid. Looks ok on Rose though.

Super vivid. Makes the sky the true, amazing blue that it really is not a washed out version.

The definition on the clouds is pretty good.

                                                                  Monochrome. (gorgeous)

A Rare Peaceful Moment

Every now and then I find myself in an eerily quiet house. If it's daytime then I need to find Elise asap to see what she's getting into, if it's night time then I can relax because all is probably well. The other night I was waiting for Mark to get home from a fire and decided to snap a couple pictures of my sleeping beauties and the dog. They are especially precious when they are sleeping <3

We LOVE Homeschool!

Today we went on an adventure to Amador County to pick up our Painted Lady butterfly caterpillars from Buena Vista Butterfly Farm. We bummed around a little, had a picnic lunch, and did some window shopping. Such a beautiful day! We'll post pictures of the caterpillars when they are big enough for my camera to see them :) SO tiny!!

You Want to be a What?

Elise has been saying this anytime she's mostly naked for a long time. I have no idea where it came from but it cracks us up every time.

Easter and Stuff

Elise deemed it her job to feed the dog the first day she came home with us. It used to get pretty messy and sometimes it still does but luckily Brute doesn't mind eating his kibble off the floor.

Miss Maysie lost her first tooth on Easter :) We made the little tooth fairy pouch the day before, perfect timing!

We went on a fishing trip one day last week. The girls had fun running a muck and getting realllly dirty, like ride home in your undies dirty. Maysie mastered the art of casting with daddy's childhood pole, and Elise gave the worms a little pep talk before they were cast to their death. She was all "good job worm, good job" giving them thumbs up and such. I don't think she knew they wouldn't come back alive. We didn't catch anything but rays of sunshine, but that's ok.

We dyed some eggs and made cute little chicken egg holders. Elise painted a chicken too but was down for a nap by the time I pulled the camera out.

These two had fun searching for eggs inside and outside. This is my favorite picture!

I decided to try making rose water for a facial toner today. Our climbing rose goes nuts every year around this time. The girls liked picking the petals off for me. The final product smelled amazing, hopefully my face likes it too.

It was a stay at home Saturday today. No errands to run! YAY! The girls kept busy playing in the sunshine and being silly.
