Is That Some Organization I See?

Believe it or not, this is our three year old's drawer! It's been the girls' job to sort and put away their own laundry for quite some time now. But to make it simple, I let them just stuff everything into the proper drawers (it's usually a disaster the first time they riffle through it to find something anyway).  Our Tiny Tornado insists on folding her clothes and putting them neatly in her drawer though. Watching her do something slowly and methodically is pretty wonderful. It's such a relief for me to know that there is a smidgen of organization inside that busy little you're-gonna-break-your-neck-if-you-don't-slow-down body.

We're So Glad When Daddy Comes Home!

Mark has been working crazy hours lately as they are short-staffed right now. Five days at a time is rough for all of us, but on the bright side, we will be able to fill the gap on our new tv wall that much sooner. It's so nice to have him home!

House Projects!

So excited to finally be starting these home improvement projects! We relocated the unnecessary french doors in the living room to our bedroom!! And we are going to be working on windows, siding, and paint over the next month. We are hopeful that our house will be shiny and new for Christmas.

The girls were in love with their nest of bubble wrap. It kept them busy for quite some time!

The dogs got really excited about their new doggie door, but alas it was only the hole from the AC being removed.

We took a break for Halloween with Pocahontas and Meeko.

And then the hole was gone and we had a future flatscreen tv wall!

I'm in love with our new room! The french doors make it look SO fancy! My dad built the trim to go around the door so it would match the trim we have in the living room.

And the living room with the furniture rearranged and the eventual tv mapped out on the wall.

It's Officially Fall

It isn't fall until we go to play at Apple Hill! We played with friends at this cute farm with a miniature town! And then we went on a search for the perfect pumpkins with Granna and Papa Doodle and Auntie Caitie. I can't believe how big this first punkin is getting!

Pastor Elise was sad because her congregation ran out before she'd finished her sermon.

But then she was happy again when she found this mountain of tires to climb.

Horsing Around

This sweet thing started horseback riding lessons! She is so cute up there. Listens really well and loves her Eddie horse. I've only had to remind her to sit down in the saddle a couple of times ;)

Beauty Tips by Blondie

Blondie was missing and unusually quiet for a few minutes the other day. I found her hiding behind the chair in my bedroom playing with my makeup. She did pretty good with the blush and the "eye sparkles" but then she got a little crazy with the mascara. She managed to get some of it on her eyelashes but the Hitler stache kinda took the cake. #thiskidisSObusy #myfirstchildspoiledme

Willow

Meet Willow. The girls and I drove to San Jose back in October and fell in love with this little baby. We actually drove all the way there to see another doggie but it was adopted 30 minutes before we got there, I'm so glad! Brute is also in love with his new sister. She loves to be carried and snuggled and shares toys and can already sit and stay, we are working on come. The shelter thought she might be a dachshund and chihuahua cross. We agree with the dachshund as she is long and low and loves to burrow in the bed covers but we think she is probably Rat Terrier also. She is an absolute love and SO good! She is precious and we're very glad we happened upon her at the shelter!

She is a happy little thing. Her nicknames are Willow Bean, Weasel, Willomette, Willowmucca, and Willowmina. Of course we don't expect her to respond to all these names, it's just fun to play with it ;)

She is NOT a water dog. Poor baby was pretty sure she was going to die.

Someone found a snugly place to sleep while I was in the shower.

Daddy was working a 5 day shift when we picked her up. I think he approved of our choice.

How cute are they!!?

She even loves mom and dad's giant Amy.

Our kiddoes <3

Brute is pretty sure he's at the dog spa when Willow chews on his ears like this :)
